Assessed museums assets and capabilities, creating both
first-ever comprehensive capabilities overview and
sponsorship packages for various proprietary events and
exhibits.
Successful in selling sponsorship to local supermarket
chain for cash and in-store promotional program designed
to drive traffic to the museum and create sales for
participating vendors
New York Power – 2001-2003
Exclusive sponsorship agency for New York’s team in the
WUSA, the first women’s professional soccer league in
the world. Responsible for creation of sponsorship
packages and all sales. Led the league in sales for all
three years of the league’s existence
Women’s Sports Legends – 1998-2000
Exclusive marketing agency for company owned by some of
the greatest tennis players of all time, including Chris
Evert, Martina Navratilova, Tracy Austin, and Billie
Jean King. Worked directly with the athlete owners to
determine their individual and collective goals to
create strategy for growth. Negotiated appearance fees
and package deals for groups of athletes to participate
in exhibitions, clinics, corporate outings, speaking
engagements, and “fantasy camps”. Oversaw creation of
web site, quarterly mailed newsletters, and other direct
mail pieces to create awareness and branding for the
company. Launched e-commerce site to sell sports
memorabilia. Founded Sports Legends Speakers Bureau as a
subsidiary of WSL, signing on athletes from various
sports to market for speaking engagements. Acted as
tournament director for the Virginia Slims Legends Tour
event in Baltimore, Maryland in October, 1999, the most
profitable exhibition in the four-year history of the
Tour. Responsible for all tournament management
including marketing, ticket and sponsorship sales and
all operations of the event.
